Odonnells was formed in September 1991 with the aim of stopping the jargon and mystique which can be a barrier to people getting proper legal advice. We brought the first children’s area in a law office to Central Lancashire and a ground breaking free law clinic operating everyday on a drop–in basis. In 1994 we were in the first group of firms to achieve legal aid franchises and had the highest number of categories in Merseyside/Lancashire.
In 1999-2000 we came second in the Law Firm of the Year awards for firms with up to five partners. John O’Donnell heads the firm and is a former President of Preston Law Society, former President of Preston Chamber of Trade, former Chairman and Administrator of Preston Duty Solicitors and a Trustee of Lancashire Advocacy. We have over the years honed our service to specialise in Family/Matrimonial, Mental Health including Court of Protection, Wills/Probate/Trusts and accident claims.

In 2006 we carried out major work to our office to improve the working environment for our staff and the experience for our clients. We work hard to make a visit to our office as comfortable and relaxing as possible.
Attending a solicitors office is stressful enough without having to rub shoulders with strangers so at Odonnells we guarantee your complete privacy and comfort.
On attending for an appointment our staff will show you to a private room where you can relax with refreshments and where you will be seen by your lawyer. Not only will you receive high quality legal advice but we also recognise that you may want to freshen up before you go out to face the world so you have exclusive use of a powder room.
