Arts Exhibition 2010 Photos
A big thank you to everyone who took part in INCLUSION – odonnells solicitors art exhibition on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 October 2010 and made it such a success. Building on last years event, we were proud to host works from across Lancashire, from individual artists and local hospitals and community groups, demonstrating the real wealth of talent which exists amongst those who suffer with mental health difficulties. Brian Fish from Woodlands and Cedar Crescent in Kirkham and St Annes held pencil drawing workshops in constructing the human head, while Karen and Eve from The Wyre Clubhouse provided drawing and acrylics workshops for visitors to the exhibition. We were joined on Saturday by Dolly Sen, as well as having music from two local brass groups, Guild Horns and Railway Brass. This complimented the art work on display in the form of paintings, photography, and sculptures. As we found last year, the metal work sculptures of a plane, tree and birds from Guild Lodge attracted a lot of interest. We are pleased that both exhibitors and visitors alike found the event to provide a positive experience in seeking to attack the stigma that so often surrounds mental health
