We provide help to patients detained under all sections of the Mental Health Act, to those under guardianship, to patients seeking help under aftercare arrangements and to their relatives and carers.
Legal aid is available completely free of charge, no matter what the patients means, for representation at a Mental Health Review Tribunal. This also applies to a patients nearest relative.

John is well placed for all the units in Cumbria namely West Cumberland Gen Hosp in Whitehaven, Westmoreland Gen Hosp in Kendal and The Carlton Clinic Carlisle from his flat in Bowness on WIindermere thus assuring clients of a speedy response and cover even for last minute s2 cases.
Our Staff
Unlike many other firms we do not send typists or unqualified staff to deal with patients detained in hospital. All our clients are represented by fully qualified lawyers who are recognised by the Law Society as specialists in MHRT work.

In Mental Health cases, we usually see patients and their relatives at hospital or in the office if they prefer. Evening and weekend appointments can be arranged.
